Let me Explain

I have an account on goodreads.com
It is where I review books and this site gives me the option to post the same review on my blog

I will always review a good book. Because how can I review a book I didn't like, that doesn't make much sense.
If I dont like it, I just put it down and never read it again, right?

So these reviews are for those that like to read and are curious about what I like to read.
If you read my review and like the sound of a book, well then that's what they're there for.
Hopefully I can turn some non-readers into readers!!

Novel Nerd : Insurgent - Veronica Roth (2nd book)

Insurgent by Veronica Roth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved this one!

But that was a give in since I was so in love with the first one.
There was soo much action and so much weight the characters have to carry on their shoulders regarding all they've now learned about their world.

Divergent touched upon a couple things and also hinted that the society was hiding something and there would be more that the people never knew about. And Insurgent goes into more detail and it definitely kept my at the edge of my seat.

The main thing I have to say is the Ending completely Blew me the heck away!
Nothing you'd expect and I almost couldn't believe when I heard that Ms. Roth was doing another novel... that's right! a third book.

Just because the end leaves you saying OMFG!!!!
I dont think I can wait much longer to get my hands on a copy of the third one, Caaamaaannn Veronica Roth!!! speed it upppp !!! =D

Novel Nerd: MATCHED - Ally Condie

Matched by Ally Condie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness!

I dont know what it is, but I'm really loving dystopian society books now.

This book completely sucked me in. Its about a girl named cassia who lives in a society where rules are made and no one breaks them in fear of what the punishment could be. In this society its another rule to hold a ball and invite all the 16YO kids and their families to see who they're matched with.

In this society when you turn 16 you are to be matched to someone of the opposite sex, whom you will end up being married to. this is a sacred tradition and its the way the government gets to decide who you should be with. at first cassia is matched to her best friend and shes happy.

only when she goes home to view her micro card to find out more about her match, Cassia realizes that she's actually matched to two people, which is very rare, and shes scared to tell anyone. she has to pick friendship or passion. And the government is also keeping something secret.

There are too many rules and absolutely NO freedom. Cassia needs to find out what's going on.

I LOOOOVVEE this book. I just purchased CROSSED which is the sequel. In MATCHED you figure out who she ends up picking.. and the second one, CROSSED, all the secrets become unleashed. Can't wait to read the second one!!!

I definitely reccomend this book to anyone!

Novel Nerd: The Diary of Anne Frank

The Diary of a Young GirlThe Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was never asked to read this during school, as most kids are. I actually remember having a field trip to meet a holocaust survivor and that was when I became interested in that time period. I knew nothing about Anne Frank or her story until recently and I still cant figure out how that can be.

Anyway, I read it and loved it. I also watched a documentary showing what the secret annex looks like now and how small the attic really was. I think that this diary really will open your eyes to something you maybe didn't know so much about. The fact that this is a REAL diary of a young girl who was forced to live in a attic with her family, another family, and another man just to escape death, blows my mind. I own this novel, and I shall forever love it and read it.

Overall: I rate this novel 5/5 because its unlike any novel you will ever read. =D

Novel Nerd: Marked - Cast

Marked (House of Night, #1)Marked by P.C. Cast
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness, this book!
I basically gave up on reading vampire novels because I never enjoyed them. That's right, I wasn't a fan of the twilight series at all. But since one of my favourite movies is Queen of the Damned, I always tried to give these dark novels a try. I thought I might start reading the vampire academy books but I couldn't find any in my local book store. However, I did stumble upon this which, at first glance I really didn't think I'd enjoy.

One of my closest friends has read all the books in the House of Night series and Loves them all, so for her I bought the first book In the series called "Marked".

I dont think I've ever read a book with so much interest before. I honestly read the thing in a span of a couple hours and loved every second of it. I thought it was so interesting, especially the weird moment that occurs close to the end where the main character sees the ghosts. the way it was described makes me think more will be explained about that particular point in the next book and so on and so forth.

Overall:
Loved it! Reccomend it for 13YO and up. You could be a grandma of 170 and I think you's really enjoy it too. I can't wait to read the rest of the books!

NOVEL NERD: Divergent - Veronica Roth

Divergent (Divergent, #1)Divergent by Veronica Roth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really loved This one! I read the Hunger Games series and enjoyed that as well but I feel like Divergent is comparable slightly to that series. However, I also believe that this novel will be more suitable to readers that require a slightly more "real" story. What I mean is that The Hunger Games series revolves around a story about having to murder other children in order to have a closer shot at survival. I love the fantasy of that but that doesn't really happen in our world. Divergent was more relatable to me. The fact that the main character is Divergent and doesn't actually fit into one said group, and has to live carefully as not to get found out, is all more relatable. Kind of reminds me of how in life we all sometimes try to fit in with certain people. Only, In Divergent, If Tris Doesn't fit in, she could be killed.

Very exciting, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The love interest was adorable too and definitely relatable (who doesn't fall for their teacher now and then? *hint hint*) Would reccomend this to any readers that enjoyed the hunger games! :)
