I don't know what its been lately but I've been in a very organized mood lately. I know that I (as
well as others) have struggled with this in the past but I think its all in motivation and being a little
strict with yourself. So here are two of my favourite tips for staying productive throughout the
day…
- My best organization tip that I really stick to is something called The 60 Second Rule. All it means is that if there’s any little clean-up task that takes less than 60 seconds to do, I do it right then! If it’s hanging up my jacket when I walk in the door, putting my purse away instead of throwing it on a chair, or putting away an outfit that I tried on and didn’t wear, I just automatically do it. Then, by the end of the day I can do the other stuff like wiping down my desk or doing the dishes. Once the little stuff is out of the way, it makes it so much easier to do the big stuff quickly.
- Another little tip I follow is writing things down and keeping a schedule. I even schedule my grocery shopping! I think keeping everything scheduled helps me to stay organized and have time to do everything.
Overall, I think having a clean, organized, life helps me to be way more productive because I’m
not thinking “Oh I should really be cleaning this up right now and organizing this,” when, actually,
I have way more important things to do.
